Blind Item: Smells Like Motor Spirit

What former designer for Antik Denim is now creating his own line of premium jeans. The line's name pays tribute to a brand of motor oil from 1909 and takes inspiration from motorcycle pants. As of now there are only four women's designs available. However, they are offered in 58 washes some which are heavily distressed and ravaged. Next Spring's collection will feature a tie-dye wash. Orders have already come in from Kitson, Lounge, Intermix and Saks Fifth Avenue. If this is any indication this will be a brand to watch.

We caught this pic from our friends at The Sartorialist. Since we touched on our love for tie-dyed denim over the weekend, we thought this was a cool approach. The overcoat could've stayed home, but take a closer look, to see how this stylish New Yorker is working some yellow onto his black denim. This is a great method to test out the trend in a very subtle, but fun way. Oh, and the ladies love a man in a hat!
